I made a few hair bows to give as a baby gift for a friend of mine. She is a New Orleans Saints fan, so I made her a Saints bow (bottom center). I like hers better than mine. The pink bow was made with an extra loop. I don't think the extra loop and extra ribbon made the bow and more special than the regular bows.

Basic Bows

I decided to start making bows for Claire when she started kindergarten. Her school requires standardized dress - black, navy, or khaki on bottom with a solid polo shirt on top. I was bored with her attire, so I decided to start making hair bows to add a bit of flair. I looked online at bow making videos and decided that pinwheel bows were the ones I liked the best. These are the first basic bows that I made for Claire. I have learned that I do not like to use wired ribbon because the wire tends to end up sticking out and is very sharp.
